2) Grasslands and Savannas

Grasslands and Savannas are in temperate and tropical regions, but they get less rain than tropical and temperate rain forests. grasslands/savannas

A temperate grassland has cold winters and hot/dry summers. American prairies are one kind of grassland with a mild climate. During hot/dry summers, the grasses may burn, giving the prairies rich soil that is good for farming. Prairie life includes wildflowers, worms, insects, spiders, mice, prairie dogs, and snakes.
