​Is all of the Air surrounding the Earth

​It is held here by gravity

​It is thicker closer to the Earth because that's how gravity works

​It is composed of (Made Of):

​78% Nitrogen

​21% Oxygen

​1% all other gas: Argon, Carbon Dioxide and Water vapor

​Atmósfera terrestre Es todo el aire que rodea la tierra Se mantiene aquí por gravedad. Es más grueso más cerca de la Tierra porque así es como funciona la gravedad. Está compuesto por (Hecho de): 78% de nitrógeno 21% de oxígeno 1% todos los demás gases: argón, dióxido de carbono y vapor de agua

Ozone protects the Earth from the Sun’s ultraviolet radiation.

Ultraviolet radiation can cause skin cancer and eye disease.  Without the ozone layer, there would be no life on Earth.

​La estratosfera contiene la capa de ozono. El ozono protege la Tierra de la radiación ultravioleta del Sol. La radiación ultravioleta puede provocar cáncer de piel y enfermedades oculares. Sin la capa de ozono, no habría vida en la Tierra.

​Mesosphere

​The mesosphere protects the Earth from meteoroids.

Millions of meteors burn up daily in the mesosphere when the meteors collide with air molecules.  Meteors travel towards Earth at 45 miles per second. Friction with the air causes the meteor to vaporize.

​La mesosfera protege a la Tierra de los meteoroides. Millones de meteoros se queman a diario en la mesosfera cuando los meteoros chocan con las moléculas de aire. Los meteoritos viajan hacia la Tierra a 45 millas por segundo. La fricción con el aire hace que el meteoro se vaporice.

​The Air we breathe is in the Atmosphere, it has Oxygen and Nitrogen in it. We use the Oxygen. The layers of the atmosphere are divided by scientists according to temperature changes. There are 4 main layers: Troposphere by the ground, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere closest to moon and sun.
