General Laboratory Safety Rules

1. Know locations of laboratory safety showers, eyewash stations, and fire extinguishers.
2. Know emergency exit routes.
3. Avoid skin and eye contact with chemicals.
4. Minimize all chemical exposures.
5. No horseplay will be tolerated.
6. Assume that all chemicals of unknown toxicity are highly toxic.
