Compound Sentence
Explanation:
A compound sentence consists of two or more independent clauses (complete sentences) joined by a coordinating conjunction (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). Each clause in a compound sentence can stand alone as a sentence.

Complex Sentence
Explanation
A complex sentence consists of one independent clause and at least one dependent (subordinate) clause. A dependent clause cannot stand alone and is often introduced by subordinating conjunctions such as because, although, since, while, when, if, after.

Because Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) exemplified the highest moral conduct, Muslims look to his life as a model of ethical behavior.
