4. Plot: Why is it so Important?
When you pay attention to the plot, you understand what happens in the beginning, the middle, and the ending of the story.

You know the setting.
You know who or what the characters are.
You know the mood, or you felt the mood.
You understand the plot: every event, action, and problem/conflict that occurred in the story. You even know how the ending went.
But wait, there is one more....

Always think about what you can learn from the story: something useful or meaningful.

To focus on the plot of a story, we will be reading the tall tale "Pecos Bill"
