Mean, Median, Mode, and Range

When finding Mean, Median, Mode, and Range, it is best to start by ordering your data from least to greatest!

Let's take a look at our first problem.

• Range - the difference between the highest and the lowest.

Scatter Plots

A graph that displays a collection of data points that shows relationships or trends between the two data sets.

You can use a scatter plot to look for a pattern of association (a trend) between two data sets. One of the values is shown on the x axis and the other is shown on the y axis of a coordinate plane.

The scatter plot shows the population of a village over time. The y-axis (or P) represents population and the x-axis (or t) represents time. Describe the relationship between the population of the village and time.

Circle Graphs

When finding the central angle, you need to find the percent and then multiply by 360 (degrees) to find the central angle for a particular part of of the graph.
