2
Remember, MLA Format is
just a format.
it makes it easier for readers to navigate and comprehend a text by using familiar cues that refer to sources and borrowed information.
3
Intros
Your introductions should always include the author's full name and the work you are referencing as soon as possible, usually in your first sentence and again in your thesis statement. For example:
"In Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds..."
"Loraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun..."
"The graphic novel adaptation of The Odyssey by Gareth Hinds..."
4
But Why Though?
You never want to leave your reader guessing. You want to get to the point right away.
Larger works such as book titles and album titles should be italicized when typed and underlined when written.
Short stories, poems, and song titles should be "put in quotation marks" when written or italicized when typed.
5
Multiple Choice
