Controls the amount of erythrocytes in the body and is where B-cells mature.

B-cells are responsible for producing antibodies

Thymus

Located in front of the heart and is where T-cells mature

T-cells are responsible for destroying virus-infected cells and instruct the body to release of WBCs to target infection

Lymph Nodes and Vessels

• Nodes - these filter the lymph to get rid of toxins, waste and pathogens

• Vessels - act like veins and capillaries to transport lymph
