Let's review short and long vowels!
Short vowels are when vowels are pronounced in a short form! For example, in the word "ship," the "i" doesn't say it's name.
Long vowels are when the vowel in a word says its name. For example, in the word "swipe", the "i" says its name.

Silent E has multiple jobs! Sometimes it can be confusing.
