Ideal Machines and Work
Ideal Machine – a machine in which there is no friction
The input force is used entirely to do work on the machine
This work causes an output force that does work on another object
Since there is no energy loss (no friction!) the work done on the machine is the same as the work that the machine does
work in = work out
