The sum and products are the same regardless of the order in which the numbers are added.  or multiplied.

The sum of two numbers times a third number is equal to the sum of each addend times the third number. 

Addition: The sum of any number and zero is that number.

Multiplication: The product of any number and one is that number.

The sum of any integer and its additive is zero.

The product of any integer and its reciprocal is one
