PREFERENCE

​Definition

Preference : Bentuk Ungkapan yang digunakan untuk menyatakan rasa lebih suka, kita dapat menggunakan beberapa ungkapan, diantaranya :

1. Prefer ... to ...

​S + PREFER + VING + TO + VING atau

S + PREFER + NOUN + TO + NOUN

Contoh :

1. Jihan prefer playing badminton to going to the cinema

2. Jihan prefer English to Mandarin

2. Like .... better than ...

​S + LIKE + VING + BETTER THAN + VING

S + LIKE + NOUN + BETTER THAN + NOUN

Contoh :

1. They like fishing better than jogging

2. They like tokyo better than shanghai

3. Would Rather ... than ...

S + would rather + V1 + than + v1

Contoh :

1. Koko would rather buy something than make it.

2. He would rather walk to school walk to school than take a bus

4. Would prefer - rather than

S + would prefer + to v1 + rather than + v1

Contoh :

1. Hadi would prefer to take taxi rather than wait

2. Nanda would prefer to cook it herself rather than buy it
