Introduction

Before the quiz starts we will be recapping some important topics . In this quiz the time limit will depend on type of question. For working out the sums you can use your notebook or a rough book.

Note: You may have to chose more than one answer in some questions

3

Important Concepts

(1) Standard Form of a Quadratic Equation: ax^2 + bx + c = 0
(2) It has two zeroes of the polynomial
(3) You can use splitting the middle term (factorisation) or the Quadratic Formula : x = [-b ± √(b2 - 4ac)]/2a
(4) Using discriminant (b2 - 4ac) you can find the nature of roots:
(a) If it’s greater than 0 then two distinct zeroes
(b) If it’s equal to 0 then two equal zeroes
(c) If it’s lesser than 0 then imaginary equation
