Option 1: Understanding Japanese Culture

Research Japan. Find information on:
1) Japanese food
2) Japanese religions
3) Japanese holidays
4) Japanese family
5) Japanese customs

Create a capsule (PowerPoint presentation) about Japanese culture. Your presentation should be at least ten slides and include pictures and a video.

Option 2: Haiku


Write a series of haiku (at least 3) about Sadako. You will illustrate your haiku & present them on a poster or in a digital presentation.

Option 3: Comic Strip

Create a comic strip showing (with pictures AND sentences) the story of Sadako. This can be created on paper or digitally (I will help you find a website to use.) The comic strip must be at least ten frames (boxes) long.

Option 4: Leukemia

Research leukemia. Create a brochure that shows the causes, symptoms, and treatment for leukemia. Your brochure should include illustrations as well as sentences.

Option 5: Origami

Create a presentation on origami. Your presentation should include the history of origami & its importance in Japanese culture.
At the end, you will show your classmates how to create an origami animal of your choice.
