• Any number with more than 2 factors is composite

• Composite numbers are bigger than 2!

Nice work! 5 only has 2 factors. It is what we mathematicians call a PRIME number.

• Any number that can only be made by 1 x itself is PRIME

• Prime numbers are bigger than 2!

Great work! 25 is really special. It is what we mathematicians call a SQUARE number.

• A SQUARE number has a square array! Try drawing 5x5... see the square shape?

• Square numbers are made by multiplying a digit by itself. Like 1x1. And 2x2. And 3x3... all the answers to those problems are square numbers!

• 1x1 = 1 SQUARE! 2x2=4 SQUARE! 3x3=9 SQUARE! And so on!
