• ​A transformation in which each point is mapped onto its reflection image over a line or plane.

• ​A reflection creates a similar and congruent figure.

​Translation

• ​A transformation in which every point of the pre-image moves in the same direction by the same amount to form an image.

• ​Also referred to a "slide."

• ​A translation creates a similar and congruent figure.

Rotation​

• ​A transformation in which every point of the pre-image is rotated about a point by a given angle.

• ​A rotation creates a similar and congruent figure.
