Trigonometric Functions
-The Pythagorean Theorem is used to find side lengths of a right triangle.
-Now, we're going to find out how to find the angle measures of right triangles.
-We use the trigonometric ratios.
-Sine, Cosine, and Tangent are the three main ratios

Trigonometric Ratios
Subject | Subject
An easy way to remember the three trigonometric ratios is through the acronym
SOH-CAH-TOA
SOH-sin=opposite/hypotenuse
CAH-cos=adjacent/hypotenuse
TOA-tan=opposite/adjacent
13
-If we start at angle Q, you can see that we have the opposite and adjacent sides.
-If we look at our three ratios (sin, cos, tan) you can see that tangent is the best to use since it uses the opposite and adjacent sides
