Music 6 Course Overview

Learning about the building blocks of music through performing, listening, reading, and writing music.

Unit 1: The Elements of Music

Learning about instruments and musical styles and traditions from around the world.

Unit 2: World Music

Using the elements of music from Unit 1 to begin to play the piano using right and left hand alternatively.

Unit 3: MIDI Keyboarding

Use our new knowledge of the MIDI keyboard and the Unit 1 elements of music to write a short advertising jingle for a product or podcast.

At the end of every class, I will remain on the call for 5 minutes for anyone who would like to have a chat about all things music! Share your favorite artists, songs, and give recommendations to your classmates and teacher! Share any concert experiences you have had or are looking forward to or hope to see! This is OPTIONAL but will be a fun mini session. (No coffee is required either).
