Keyboard Set Up Time!!
22
Directions Summary:
Connect the MIDI keyboard to your CCA laptop using the included USB cable.
Your keyboard will NOT make sound by itself. You will need a DAW. **These links will be shared in the chat and on the next slide.**
If there is no sound, don't panic! Review the troubleshooting steps shared by your teacher.
IMPORTANT:
Always plug in your midi keyboard before opening Chrome Music Lab. This will give you more success in creating a sound the first time.
23
What is a DAW?
DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation.
Please bookmark these websites for quick access to ways to get your keyboard to make sound:
24
Troubleshooting
1. Plug in keyboard BEFORE opening website
2. Refresh website
3. Unplug, count to 10, replug (may need to repeat)
4. Computer restart
"Unplug, Replug, Refresh, Repeat"
DON'T PANIC!!
