Quizizz is an edtech platform founded in 2015 by Ankit Gupta and Deepak Joy Cheenath, both alumni of BITS Pilani. The idea emerged while they were volunteering at a remedial math program in Bengaluru, India. They aimed to make learning more engaging by transforming traditional quizzes into gamified experiences.

The platform supports assessments, instruction, and practice, aiming to motivate every student toward mastery. Teachers can use and customize over 30 million quizzes and lessons spanning various subjects and grade levels
