A couple things about the Imperial System...

1. The U.S., Liberia, and Myanmar are the only three countries that still use the Imperial System
2. It originally comes from England
3. Conversions are a little trickier than the metric system
4. Even Americans mess it up (myself included)

​If you are going from small to big, DIVIDE

If you are going from big to small, MULTIPLY


Example:
2 tons = 4000 pounds ( 2 × 2000 = 4000)

32 ounces = 2 pounds (32 ÷ 16 = 2)
