My Year in Words
Instructions:
Think back on your school year and write about your favorite memories and achievements!
On your writing pad, create a memory page titled, "My Year in Words". Write about your favorite moment, a lesson you learned, a funny classroom experience, a piece of work you are proud of, and a goal for next school year in 2-3 paragraphs.
Use the Simple Past Tense to describe each memory (e.g. I learned, I played, I enjoyed, etc.). You may also draw or decorate your page to make it creative.

My Year in words
Class:
Name:
This year, I had so much fun in English class! My favorite moment was when we wrote the beginning of an adventure story. I started my story with a boy named Max who found a mysterious map in his attic. The map showed a hidden treasure on a faraway island. Max packed his backpack and set off on a small boat. He felt excited and a little scared as he sailed through the big, blue ocean. I enjoyed thinking about what might happen next and how Max would find the treasure.
One funny moment was when we acted out a scene from our stories. My friend pretended to be a giant crab guarding the treasure, and we couldn’t stop laughing! I also worked hard on my spelling tests and got better at using new words. Next year, I want to write longer adventure stories and add more exciting parts. I will practice writing every week and use interesting words to make my stories fun to read. I’m excited to learn even more!
