  • Genotype - the genetic make-up (letters) or combination of the alleles on a gene

  • Examples - FF, Ff, ff or AA, Aa, aa

  • Phenotype - the organism's physical appearance or visible traits

  • Examples - tall, short, purple, white, green, yellow
