​S2 Wider Achievement

If you were in one of the S2 wider achievement classes you would have worked your way through the first unit of the level 4 games development course.
This is the equivalent of a National 4.
There are 3 units to complete to get the award for the entire course. We covered the first unit (Computer games design) in S2.

The units for the Computer games development course are as follows:

Computer games design
Media assets
Computer games development

In S3 Wider Achievement you have a choice of activities. They are as follows:

• Complete the level 4 games development course by passing the media assets and games development units

• Complete the media assets and games development units on their own

• Develop your skills in various multimedia/games development packages

Keep in mind:

• If you were not in the S2 Wider Achievement computing class it will be difficult for you to achieve the full games development course in S3 as the assessment tasks for the first unit involve the most writing.

• Simply playing computer games all period every period is not an option!
