A game about gardening has broken the record for the most users online at the same time. The game is called Grow a Garden. It first broke the record on June 14th with 16.4 million players online. This was more than the old record of 14.3 million users held by the famous game Fortnite. The number of players shows how popular the game has become all over the world.
25
Grow a Garden broke its own record again on June 21st, reaching 21.3 million players online at the same time. This made it the most popular game ever played by so many people at once. The game is on Roblox, a very large online game platform where many games are available. A spokesperson for the game said that its success is because players keep playing often and enjoy talking and working with friends in the game.
26
Grow a Garden is a simulation game where players take care of a small patch of virtual land. They buy seeds to plant vegetables, flowers, and herbs. After the plants grow, players can harvest them to get currency, which is money used inside the game. Players use this currency to buy better tools and unlock new areas for their gardens. This system makes the game fun and gives players goals to reach.
27
Good gardeners in the game can upgrade their tools and level up to unlock rare seeds, exotic crops, and new garden areas called biomes. A gardening expert was asked if the game would make people love real gardening more. He said it is unlikely because games like this do not encourage real-life skills much, just like how Super Mario does not teach plumbing in real life.
