Past Participle

• Past participle describes a noun

• 過去分詞は名詞を説明します。

Past Participle

• Past participle describes something that is already done.

• 過去分詞は、すでに終わったことを表す動詞の形です。

Example:

• Food eaten by Brandon.

• ブランドンに食べられた食べ物

• The food has already been finished. Brandon ate it.

• 食べ物はすでに食べられました。ブランドンに食べられました。

• Like this, past participles show that something is already done.

• このように、過去分詞は「終わった」こと（たとえばブランドンに食べられた食べ物）を教えてくれます。

Another use

• You can also use past participles for things that are already done, but still true.

• 過去分詞は、すでに終わったことでも、今も変わらない事実に使えます。

Example:

• A movie called Frozen.

• 『Frozen』という映画

• The movie was named Frozen long ago. But the name is still Frozen.

• その映画は昔「Frozen」と名づけられました。でも、今も名前は「Frozen」のままです。
