Mini Biography

This is my 8th year teaching, but my 2nd year at Richland High School. I also serve as the DECA advisor. Teaching has always been my passion, though I’ve spent a few years gaining experience in various industries—from handling public relations at a veterinary clinic to writing and marketing technical documentation.

I’m excited to help you learn more about business, marketing, and how to succeed in your career. My dad was a Business and CTE teacher in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and I’m proud to continue his legacy. I’m looking forward to a great school year!

All assignments and materials are posted on canvas. Each week is its own module with headers for each day. You can also check this week's and next week's agenda to see what's coming up. Sometime, the link might go to what I need as a teacher and not what you need as a student to participate.

The "Daily Agenda" is my master planner for the course. It will also always be projected on one of the TVs because it shows our current TEKS, PDSA, and word wall. Although I will use it for our daily slides, it is probably easier to use the weekly modules for your purposes as a student.

Class Grade Rules...

• Assignments are ALWAYS due on FRIDAY (or the last day of the week).

• ON TIME = full credit

• A little late but Mrs. Nelson hasn’t graded it yet = LATE BUT full credit

• Every day after it is due is -5 points.

ALL assignments close 1 week after they are due.
