Analog Data

Data that is represented by constant variation

Usually transmitted using varying currents.

Shows smooth changes in data values

Digital Data

Data represented by discrete (unchanging) values

Represented by Binary language (1's and 0's)

All data online is transfered as digital data

A digital language of 1's and 0's

0's represent an off switch while 1's represent an on switch

A single 1 or 0 is a bit

Each bit represents bower of 2

Binary

8 bits make up a byte, the standard of representing a single ASCII character(Letters, Numbers, & Symbols

Bytes

Data is stored by the number of bytes it takes up.
