Before 1975, Vietnam was in the war. We needed a lot of things, and some big and near countries came to help. But there was also a very small and far away country. It was Cuba. Cuba wasn’t a rich country, but it gave Vietnam a lot.
Cuba gave Vietnam food. They brought us sugar and medicine. Cuba is famous for making sugar. It has many customers around the world. One year, the sugar crop was bad. The sold less sugar, but still gave us the same.
