Goals of the Activity:
a. Review the guidelines for providing stoplight feedback.
b. Code example feedback based on the spotlight criteria
c. Determine how you could revise the feedback to meet WGU expectations.
Justification for the Activity:
As part of a new WGU initiative to minimize the number of attempts and student friction points, they would like us to be more specific in our feedback to help the student understand what they did well and precisely what they need to revise based on aspect-level requirements.

Please review the legend for Stoplight Method Aspect Level feedback used for our Rockin’ Research Team Spot Checks.
1. Then, review and code the following example according to the legend.
2. Next, determine if the feedback is clear and will help the student make the necessary revisions.
3. Lastly, compose model feedback for the aspect that contains rubric language, submission details, and evaluative terms.
a. NOTE: Helpful feedback should exhibit professional communication and include a comment that addresses “WHAT” was accurate in the response and “WHY” the response was insufficient.

Problem Statement: Teachers struggle to support students' understanding of linear equations, which leads to students having difficulty mastering these concepts, primarily due to a lack of professional development opportunities focused on hands-on teaching strategies.
