Let's evaluate this conclusion

In "The Flying Machine" by Ray Bradbury, the wall-surrounded setting of the Emperor's kingdom causes a conflict for his people who seek protection in the secluded land. To start off, the texts states, "That wonderful wall which had protected them for a timeless time from enemy hordes and preserved peace for years without number." Here the story shows that the city was purposefully surrounded by a wall to protect the people successfully in the past, so a challenge to that protection would be problematic. In addition, the main character explains, "'Who is to say that someday just such a man, in just such an apparatus of paper and reed, might not fly in the sky and drop huge stones upon the Great Wall of China?' said the Emperor." Because the flying machine was able to breach the protective walls, the Emperor sees the device as a threat to his peaceful kingdom. In summation, the kingdom protected by the Great Wall created a situation where the invention of the flying machine created a conflict for the Emperor who was trying to keep his isolated kingdom from harm.
