​As with all courses at CCA, a high standard of academic integrity is required. You are expected to produce your best work and your own work. CCA requires that all learners read and understand the CCA Honor Code, which is linked below.

Should the Honor Code be violated, the following actions will be taken:

• In the first instance of a violation of the CCA Honor Code, you will receive a warning from your teacher.

• In subsequent instances, you may receive a zero for the assignment with no option to resubmit.

Why Do We Read Stories?

Have you ever wondered why we read so many stories in English class? What’s the reason for stories?

Stories can teach us about history, family, and traditions. They are passed down from one generation to the next.

You will read different kinds of stories and learn how they share important ideas. Each story will show something special about a culture or time in history.

The big question we will think about is: How can stories help keep cultures strong?

This unit has four assignments, one quiz, one test, and one project. These will help you get ready to write your final paper.
