How would we write this number using words?
Five million, two hundred seventy-eight thousand, one hundred ninety-four
Look at the place value chart ones-trillions:

Let's look at another really big number:
Seven hundred forty-one billion, three hundred eighteen million, five hundred seventy-six thousand, one hundred twelve
741,318,576,112
Remember:
- We use a comma after every third digit.
- We only use the word "and" if we are referring to a decimal!
Notice that when the number is written in words, the commas are in the exact same places as when the number is written with digits.
