What is Dialogue?
Dialogue is the written conversation between characters in a story.

✨ Features of Dialogue
Talking – Dialogue is when characters or people are speaking.
Example: “I like apples,” said Mia.
Quotation Marks (“ ”) – These marks show exactly what someone says.
Example: “Look at the rainbow!” shouted Ben.
Speaker Tag – Tells who is talking (said, asked, shouted, whispered, etc.).
Example: “I’m ready for recess,” said Leo.
Shows Feelings – The way people talk tells us how they feel.
Example: “That thunder scared me,” whispered Ana.
Moves the Text Forward – Dialogue helps us understand what is happening.
Example: “Let’s go to the park,” said Dad. → Now we know where they are going!
