What is the Purpose of Building a Temple
Doctrine & Covenants 109
5, 12-13 The Saints built the temple to honor God and follow His commandment to build and dedicate it to Him. The temple is to be a place where God’s glory may rest and where His people offer prayer, fasting, faith, and learning.
14-16 Those who enter should be taught wisdom from on high and receive knowledge and power to go forth and serve God.
20-24The temple must be kept holy by the clean and repentant, and those who worship worthily will be armed with power to gather Israel and testify of the gospel.
16
FORMER PRES. RUSSELL M. NELSON
[The temple] is His house. It is filled with His power. Let us never lose sight of what the Lord is doing for us now. … I promise that increased time in the temple will bless your life in ways nothing else can.
17
PRINCIPLE
As we strive for worthiness, we prepare our hearts for the revelation, peace, and spiritual renewal awaiting us in the temple.

The Savior Will Manifest Himself to His Saints in the Temple
By Yurito Kazuto
19
What would you feel if the Savior Was Here?
The Savior Manifested himself to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery
On the afternoon of Easter Sunday, April 3, 1836, a sacrament meeting was held in the newly dedicated Kirtland Temple. After the sacrament was administered to the congregation, Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery went behind the curtain that covered the altar to pray silently. There they beheld the series of divine visitations recorded in Doctrine and Covenants 110. (See Saints: The Story of the Church of Jesus Christ in the Latter Days, vol. 1, The Standard of Truth, 1815–1846 [2018], 239–40.)

The Restoration of Priesthood Keys
By Yurito Kazuto
30
What Are Priesthood Keys?
Priesthood keys are the authority God has given priesthood leaders to direct and govern the use of His priesthood on earth.
President Dallin H. Oaks, First Counselor in the First Presidency, taught: “All keys of the priesthood are held by the Lord Jesus Christ, whose priesthood it is. He is the one who determines what keys are delegated to mortals and how those keys will be used.
The President of the Church has authority from the Lord to exercise all the priesthood keys that are needed for the Church to function (see Doctrine and Covenants 132:7).
