✍️ What Is Writing Composition
Writing composition involves organizing thoughts, choosing appropriate language, and structuring content to suit a specific purpose and audience. It’s not just about grammar—it’s about expression. It is putting your thoughts, ideas, and stories into written words. It's like building with blocks, but the blocks are words, sentences, and paragraphs.

🧱Key parts of Writing Composition
• Purpose: Why are you writing? (To inform, persuade, entertain, reflect?)
• Audience: Who will read it? (Peers, professionals, general public?)
• Structure: Most compositions follow a basic format:
• Introduction: Presents the topic and thesis
• Body: Develops ideas with evidence, examples, and explanations
• Conclusion: Summarizes and reinforces the main point

🚫 Common Mistakes in Writing Composition
1. No Clear Beginning, Middle, or End
• Mistake: Jumping into the story or topic without an introduction or ending.
• Fix: Always start with a strong opening, build your ideas in the middle, and finish with a proper conclusion
2. Too Many Ideas in One Paragraph
• Mistake: Mixing lots of different thoughts in one big chunk.
• Fix: Stick to one idea per paragraph. Use new paragraphs to show a change in topic or time.
5
3. Spelling and Grammar Errors
• Mistake: Misspelled words, wrong punctuation, or confusing sentences.
• Fix: Always check your work. Read it out loud or ask someone to help you spot mistakes.
4. Repetition of Words
• Mistake: Using the same word too many times (e.g., “nice”, “good”, “then”).
• Fix: Use different words. Try synonyms or describe things in new ways.
5. Not Following the Topic
• Mistake: Writing about something else instead of what the question asked.
• Fix: Read the topic carefully. Stay focused and make sure every sentence matches the theme.
6. No Descriptive Details
• Mistake: Writing too simply without painting a picture.
• Fix: Add details! Use senses—what you saw, heard, felt, or smelled.
6
7. Using “And then…” Too Much
• Mistake: Starting every sentence with “And then…”
• Fix: Use different sentence starters like “Suddenly,” “Later,” “After that,” or “Meanwhile.”
8. Too Short or Too Long
• Mistake: Writing only a few lines or going off-topic with too much.
• Fix: Aim for a balanced length. Enough to explain your ideas, but not too much that it becomes confusing.
9. No Proofreading
• Mistake: Handing in the first draft without checking.
• Fix: Always read your work again. Fix spelling, punctuation, and make sure it makes sense.
10. No Creativity or Personal Touch
• Mistake: Writing in a boring or robotic way.
• Fix: Be yourself! Add your voice, feelings, and imagination.

💖 My Mum
My mum is the most important person in my life. She is kind, caring, and always there for me. She helps me with my homework, cooks delicious meals, and gives me warm hugs when I feel sad.
Every morning, my mum wakes up early to get everything ready. She makes breakfast and helps me get ready for school. Even when she is tired, she still smiles and tells me to have a good day.
My mum teaches me good manners and how to be respectful. She always says, “Be kind to others,” and I try my best to follow her advice. She also tells funny stories that make me laugh a lot.
When I am sick, my mum takes care of me. She gives me medicine, reads me stories, and stays by my side until I feel better. She makes me feel safe and loved every day.
I love my mum very much. She is my hero, and I am thankful for everything she does. I hope I can make her proud and take care of her when I grow up.
