Race

• Typically based on physical characteristics such as skin color, facial features, etc.

• Often seen as a social construct with no biological basis.

Ethnicity

• Cultural identity—shared customs, language, religion, traditions, and sometimes ancestry.

• People of the same race can be of different ethnicities. For example, two Black individuals might be ethnically Nigerian and Jamaican.

Nationality

• Legal belonging to a specific country, usually through citizenship or birth.

• Tied to legal and political systems, not physical or cultural traits.
