What do you remember about Tuesday's lesson on interpreting pie charts?
3
Pie Charts
We use a pie chart to show how popular a category was in a survey based on how big its slice is.
The bigger a categories slice, the bigger angle it has.
And we can use the formula to see how many people voted for that category.

What to do
When were asked what fraction of people chose a certain category we have to give our answer as a fraction.
We can either use the angles or the totals, it depends what we are given.
9
Fractions and Pie Charts
Using angles - we take the angle the category has and divide it by 360.
Using totals - we take the category total and divide it by the total
