Conditional looks similar to Subjunctive, but . . .

The conditional mood shows what could, might, or would happen under certain conditions.
*If those three helping/linking verbs are used in your "If" statements, it's CONDITIONAL.

Condition Is Hypothetical, But . . .

. . . It expresses the outcome of a hypothetical situation, linking a condition to a result.

If Scythe Faraday were still alive, everything would be different.

Condition = If Scythe Faraday were still alive
Possible Result = everything would be different
