​Prompt:

Consider what rituals are special to your family. Write a discussion post that answers the following questions and then share with your classmates. Respond to at least two of your classmates in a meaningful way. This assignment presents an excellent opportunity to be open-minded about another person’s family and cultural rituals, and learn about facets of these celebrations that you may not have already known.

Prompt Questions:

• What is one family ritual that your family celebrates now?  

• Describe how your family celebrates a specific holiday or ritual. Include any special food, music, clothing, prayer, or dancing that is involved in the celebration.

• Why is this family ritual important to you and your family

• Are there any family rituals that you don’t celebrate now that you would like to celebrate when you have your own family? Explain your answer.

Day 2: Ask more open-ended questions. Did someone ask you a question? Answer in a way that furthers the discussion (keep it going).
Day 3: Make sure you've answered any question someone asked you.
