Gerry the Dancing Germ
In a tiny, magical world inside a bubble, there lived a germ named Gerry. But Gerry was not like ordinary germs — he didn’t like being sneaky or scary. Gerry loved dancing!
Every morning, he put on his shiny germ shoes and said, “Time to boogie!”
He twirled, he wiggled, he jumped, and he spun like a tiny ballerina.
One day, Gerry heard music playing outside the bubble.
“I want to dance with humans!” he cheered.

But when he tried to step out, pop! — the bubble bounced him back inside.
“Oh well,” Gerry giggled. “I guess I’ll dance here instead!”
He invited his germ friends, and soon the bubble was full of glitter and giggles. They had disco lights, rainbow sparkles, and even a tiny DJ germ named Bop-Bop.

Every night, the bubble glowed with happy dancing germs.
And Gerry smiled and said,
“Who needs the big world? We have the best dance floor right here!”

Germs
Germs are tiny living things that we cannot see with our eyes. We need a microscope to see them. Some germs can make us sick, like giving us a cold or a cough.
Germs can live on our hands, on doorknobs, and on things we touch every day. They can spread when we sneeze, cough, or touch our face.
We can stop germs by washing our hands with soap and water, covering our mouth when we sneeze or cough, and keeping our surroundings clean.
