Let's find the adjectives in this sentence: ‘The fluffy kitten chased the tiny, red ball.’
• First, find the nouns in the sentence, which are kitten and ball.
• To describe the kitten, ask "what kind?" The answer is a fluffy kitten.
• To describe the ball, ask "what kind?" It's a tiny and red ball.
• The words fluffy, tiny, and red are the adjectives.
• Adjectives help you picture a more detailed image in your mind.
