How to Cite Sources in Slideshows and Website Projects

Learn how to give credit to websites, books, and videos the right way!

Why Do We Cite?

Citing your sources shows:

• You did your research

• You give credit to authors and creators

• You avoid plagiarism

​You should cite any ideas, facts, images, or words that aren’t yours.

What Do You Need to Cite?

You should cite:

• Websites

• Books

• Videos (like YouTube)

• Articles or news sources

• Images or charts

Example Format:
