I know that Ryan froze 3/4 of the blueberries, and the amount he froze was 2 1/2 pounds. That means 2 1/2 pounds is 3 out of the 4 equal parts of all the blueberries he picked.I drew a tape diagram with 4 equal boxes to show the whole amount Ryan picked. Then I shaded 3 of the boxes to show the part he froze. Those 3 boxes together equal 2 1/2 pounds.To find out how much 1 box is worth, I divided:2 1/2 divided by 3So each box represents 5/6 of a pound.Since the whole diagram has 4 boxes, I multiplied:5/6 x 4= 20/6So Ryan picked 3 1/3 pounds of blueberries altogether.
