The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa in Indonesia from May 20th until October 21st.

On Aug 27th, four explosions occurred, which marked the height of the eruption. The first explosion was at Perboewatan, triggering a tsunami.

At 6:44 am, Kratatoa exploded again at Danan, with the resulting tsunami propagating eastward and westward.

The third and largest explosion, at 10:02 am, was so violent that it as heard 1930 mi away in Western Australia.

The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, on the most powerful natural disasters in recorded history, sent shockwaves through the region, impacting multiple countries and hundred of thousands of lives. A massive undersea earthquake off the western coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, unleashed a series of colossal tsunamis that inundated coastal areas, catching communities off-guard and causing widespread destruction.

Traveling as fast as 500 mph, the waves spread to other countries.
