Today you will choose one galaxy and gather information using the provided link.


You will NOT choose Andromeda or the Milky Way. I will reset your assignment if you do.

Directions:

1. Complete the Before You Begin.

2. Use the embedded link to choose one named galaxy you would like to research. (NOT Andromeda or the Milky Way)

3. Use the Wiki page to gather the required information on your chosen galaxy.

When you click the link, it'll take you to this chart of named galaxies. They are listed in alphabetical order from Alcyoneus to Whirpool Galaxy. You can even gather information right on this page, including constellation, origin of name, and a few other notes.

​*I'm using Andromeda as an example, do NOT pick Andromeda.

A lot of the information you need can be found right in the first section of the page or on the right hand side under "Observation Data".

You can explore the entire wiki page to gather fun facts.

Do NOT pick Andromeda or the Milky Way. Your assignment will be reset. Choose something completely different that we have not discussed in class!!!!
