MECHANICS

• Each section shall have a maximum of three (3) groups, with three (3) members per group, per grade level.

• The contest will be conducted by grade level only (no interlevel competition).

• Contest coverage includes 1st to 3rd lessons in Mathematics.

• The Wayground App will be used during the contest.

  • Scoring is based on accuracy and speed.

  • Scores generated by the app will be added to the total points.

MECHANICS

• Each group must have at least one (1) member with a smartphone and stable internet connection.

  • If none is available, the quiz master will provide a tablet.

  • The facilitator/quiz master will not be liable for any technical issues.

  • If a participant fails to answer due to technical problems, the question will not be restarted and a score of zero will be given.

MECHANICS

• The contest will have three (3) rounds:

  • Easy Round – 10 questions (1 point each)

  • Average Round – 5 questions (3 points each)

  • Difficult Round – 3 questions (5 points each)

• The quiz master shall:

  • Read each question once.

  • Once the quiz master clicks “Next Question”, participants shall immediately start answering.

MECHANICS

• Contestants shall:

  • Stop answering when the time limit expires or buzzer sounds

  • View the correct answer flashed on the screen after each question

• Any protest or appeal must be raised before the next question.

• In case of a tie:

  • A Clincher Round will be conducted

  • 5 questions, 5 points per question

MECHANICS

• The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Calculators

  • Electronic gadgets (except for the Wayground App)

  • Written formulas

  • Any reference materials
