1️⃣ Minulý čas prostý (Past Simple)
👉 Používáme ho pro ukončené děje v minulosti, které se staly a skončily.
Příklady z textu:
Two German tourists were on holiday in the Alps.
→ Byli na dovolené (hotová minulá situace). They saw something in the ice.
→ Něco uviděli (jednorázový děj).They stopped and looked.
→ Zastavili se a podívali se (děje po sobě).He lived between 3350 BC and 3100 BC.
→ Žil v určitém období v minulosti.
📌 Shrnutí:
Past Simple = co se stalo a skončilo.

1️⃣ Past Simple – zápor a otázky
🔹 ZÁPOR (did not / didn’t + sloveso v základním tvaru)
📌 Vzorec:
Podmět + did not (didn’t) + infinitiv
❗ Pozor: sloveso už není v minulém tvaru, protože minulost je v did.
Příklady z textu:
They didn’t know it was a Stone Age body.
They didn’t think it was a climber.
❌ Špatně: They didn’t thought…
✅ Správně: They didn’t think…
🔹 OTÁZKA (Did + podmět + infinitiv?)
📌 Vzorec:
Did + podmět + sloveso?
Příklady:
Did they see something in the ice?
Did Ötzi live in the mountains?

2️⃣ Minulý čas průběhový (Past Continuous)
👉 Používáme ho pro děj, který v minulosti probíhal delší dobu, často když se do něj něco jiného stalo.
Příklady z textu:
They were walking along a path, when they saw something in the ice.
➡️ were walking = Past Continuous
➡️ saw = Past Simple
🧠 Význam:
were walking → probíhající děj
saw → krátká událost, která děj přerušila
Další příklad:
He was probably taking his sheep and goats into the mountains when he died.
➡️ was taking → děj probíhal
➡️ died → krátká, náhlá událost
📌 Shrnutí:
Past Continuous = co právě probíhalo, když se stalo něco jiného.
5
2️⃣ Past Continuous – zápor a otázky
🔹 ZÁPOR (was / were + not + -ing)
📌 Vzorec:
Podmět + was / were + not + sloveso-ing
Příklady z textu:
They weren’t walking fast.
He wasn’t carrying only one tool.
🔹 OTÁZKA (Was / Were + podmět + -ing?)
📌 Vzorec:
Was / Were + podmět + sloveso-ing?
Příklady:
Were they walking along a path?
Was he taking his sheep into the mountains?
