Requirements needed to become a naturalized citizen

• -21 years of age -lawful permanent resident for 3 years -must speak English -good moral character -understanding of U.S. civics
• -18 years of age -lawful permanent resident for 10 years -must speak English -good moral character 
• -18 years of age -lawful permanent resident for 5 years -must read, write and speak English -good moral character -understanding of U.S. civics
• -13 years of age -lawful permanent resident for 5 years -must read, write and speak -good moral character -understanding of U.S. civics
