Steve was studying the following functions f(x)=6x+5  and  g(x)=5(6)^x.  He said that linear functions and exponential functions are basically the same.  He explained his statement by plotting points at x=0 and x=1 for each function and graphing.Help Steve understand the difference between linear and exponential functions by comparing and contrasting functions f and g.  Support your answer with a written explanation that includes use of the average rate of change and supporting graphs and tables of these functions.
