Imperfect - Spanish 2 Honors

The imperfect is used for:

• Used to express desires, doubts, the unknown, the abstract, and emotions
• Used to describe completed actions in the past that happened at a specific time.
• Used to describe past habitual actions or to talk about what someone was doing when they were interrupted by something else; does not have a definite beginning or end.
• Verb form that can function as an adjective or as part of a perfect tense when used in conjugation with the verb haber

From time to time they swam.

• Todos los días ellos nadaron

El año pasado, yo (estudiar) todos los días.
